

Rx Revue is software that allows pharmacists to effectively review patient medication using a computer tool that reflects the reality of their professional practice.
Pharmacists are regularly called on to draw up a complete list of a patient's current medications. Rx Revue was designed to bring structure to the drug review process. The software however, can be used for much more than generating simple lists of medications, it can also provide a quick analysis of a patient's situation, as it pertains to the drugs they are taking.

Since the Vigilance Santé database is integrated to Rx Revue, a drop down list allows the user to select a drug and its strength, using the first few letters of the drug. The pharmacist can then assess the patient's level of knowledge and compliance as well as the effectiveness of each of the drugs in the profile. The pharmacist then evaluates the overall therapy based on the information he has entered.

Using sound clinical judgement, the pharmacist is called upon to find solutions and steps to optimize a patient's drug therapy. The pharmacist can also use this section to make follow-up notes on measures that should either be taken by the patient, the prescriber or the pharmacist.
