Reporting to the direction of the product director, the pharmacist, data modeler will collaborate with the team to develop and maintain pharmaceutical data for the products. He/she designs and maintains optimized data structures to ensure the efficiency, integrity, and security of information within an organization.
Responsibilities:
Data Modeler:- Analyze the data needs of end users and company products.
- Design conceptual and logical data models considering functional and technical requirements.
- Define data structures, including tables, fields, relationships, and constraints, in collaboration with the development team.
- Collaborate with functional and technical teams to validate and refine data models.
- Participate in the modernization of existing data models.
- Document data models and design decisions to ensure clear understanding and traceability of changes.
- Stay informed of best practices in data modeling and industry trends through continuous learning.
- Provide support to development teams during the implementation of data models in applications and systems.
- Ensure the updating of the clinical content of our products.
- Conduct necessary clinical research and analysis for content development.
- Establish the requirements of the work to be done, the time needed, and organize the project plan in collaboration with team members.
- Transform collected data and information into understandable and simplified content for the target audience.
- Adhere to standards, internal norms, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with clinical content.
- Participate in decision-making on controversial topics.
- Participate in user testing during the development of certain programs and during the deployment of versions.
- Respond to questions from healthcare professionals, providing well-supported answers to offer quality service.
- Suggest improvements to procedures and working methods to increase the operational efficiency of the team.
- Stay aware of new trends in the healthcare field.
- Propose the addition of relevant content according to the evolution of pharmacy practice.
- Participate in the development and quality assurance of internal data management products in collaboration with the technology team.
- Manage and transmit data to various distributors.
- Collaborate as a clinical data expert on integration projects.
- Participate in identifying the needs of end users and analyzing functionalities.
- Communicate effectively with development teams to ensure functional requirements are accurately translated into technical needs.
- Participate in project planning to help define milestones and delivery criteria.
- Identify the clinical content needed for the proper functioning of certain features in products and communicate this within the department when relevant.
- Analyze the effectiveness of implemented solutions and propose improvements to optimize tool usage.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy or a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm. D.).
- Minimum of three years’ experience in community pharmacy or a healthcare setting.
- Active member in good standing with the Ordre des pharmaciens du Québec.
- Proficiency in written and spoken French.
- Proficiency in written English and functional spoken English.
- Interest in data analysis and database creation.
- Good command of MS Office Suite, primarily Excel, is an asset.
- Basic knowledge of programming (e.g., SQL, JavaScript, Python) is an asset.
- Knowledge of data architecture is an asset.
